Role Of An Accountant
As an accountant, you have a significant impact on the firm ensuring accuracy and reliability, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, error prevention, financial insight, audit readiness, cost management etc.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Maintaining financial records
- Process transactions
- Reconcile accounts
- Assist with financial reporting
- Ensure compliance
- Conduct financial analysis
- Identify and correct errors
- Support audits
- Manage records
What Your Day To Day Look Like
- Prepare & complete year-end financial statements and present them to our clients
- Assist in onboarding new clients by helping to clean up messy books
- Be accountable for the quality and timeliness of all tasks related to a group of clients that are assigned to you
- Assist with bookkeeping, payroll, tax & sales tax-related tasks
- Provide excellent customer service to the group of clients you’re assigned to
What You Need To Succeed
- You have at least 1 year of accounting experience
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- You are exceptionally detail-oriented and organized
- You are a clear communicator
- You are a problem solver
- You believe in delivering awesome customer service and you have experience in a customer-facing role
- You have some experience constructing year-end financial statements
- You can and like working in a fast-paced environment
- You have experience with various online accounting systems, notably, QuickBooks Online
